I-vêmë Bî (/i/ /ˈvɘmë/ [off white] [control]) is a subtropical Town located in the Sihîlêsê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name I-vêmë Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as I-vêmë Bî was founded by Grahr Zegêg̈ Tsèdo, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

I-vêmë Bî has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). I-vêmë Bî receives an average of 218 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. I-vêmë Bî covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 6714 m (-20922 ft) above sea level.

Overview

I-vêmë Bî was founded durring the late 12th century in fall of the year 1084, by Grahr Zegêg̈ Tsèdo. The establishment of I-vêmë Bî was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding I-vêmë Bî's construction back out of the project. Grahr Zegêg̈ Tsèdo pushed on reguardles, and I-vêmë Bî was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

I-vêmë Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and I-vêmë Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

I-vêmë Bî is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive packed earth streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's somewhat suffishent have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around I-vêmë Bî gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which I-vêmë Bî brings to mind.

Civic Infrastructure

I-vêmë Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within I-vêmë Bî.

I-vêmë Bî has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

I-vêmë Bî has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

I-vêmë Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain I-vêmë Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

I-vêmë Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

I-vêmë Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

I-vêmë Bî's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

I-vêmë Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves ritual combat to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via proclamations.
